This 5-day immersion (June 8-12, 2020) is intended for those new to TIAVY (Trauma Informed Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga) and those looking to focus on the delicious details that make this practice so potentially powerful for regulating the nervous system. For those wanting a deeper theoretical and practical foundation, I highly recommend joining the 15-hour Training June 5-7th as well, which will thoroughly introduce the reasoning behind certain features of practice that will be emphasized.
Postures and sequences from the Ashtanga Vinyasa series will be broken down so that students at any level can enjoy being wherever they are with them. Afternoons will be spent discussing some basic yoga philosophy and practical information that aids in establishing a personal practice. We will also practice breathing exercises that can strongly influence our state of mind, visualizations that can reduce stress and even eat away at trauma, and learn some chants that may affect our vagus nerve at multiple levels.
More information will be added before registration opens on April 5th, so stay tuned!
